13th Asian and Oceanian Epilepsy Congress (AOEC)

On behalf of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE), we are delighted to officially announce that the 13th Asian & Oceanian Epilepsy Congress (AOEC) will take place in Fukuoka, Japan, from the 8-11 October in 2020. With a new format for the scientific programme that focuses on education and networking, and an enthralling city hosting the congress that is easily accessible from throughout the region and beyond, this promises to be the best AOEC yet. Call for Abstracts - Deadline 22 May 2020
The 13th AOEC Scientific and Organising Committee encourage all researchers and practitioners to contribute to the congress programme by submitting an abstract.
Abstracts will be considered by the Abstract Review Committee for oral or poster presentation.
Bursaries - Application deadline 22 May 2020
A limited number of bursaries will be awarded to applicants who have submitted an abstract to the congress that stands out for its scientific quality. Full details about applying for abstracts
Statement on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The ILAE and the IBE are keeping close surveillance of the developments with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in the Asia-Oceania region and world-wide.
The 13th Asian & Oceanian Epilepsy Congress is due to take place in October 2020 in Fukuoka; we are still on course to hold a successful congress and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at that time.
We are monitoring the global public health environment and advice from authorities such as the World Health Organization, Japanese Government and local health departments. The health and well-being of our delegates and stakeholders is of paramount importance to us and we are making every effort to ensure safety for everyone at our congress. Read full statement
