ILAE-Eastern Mediterranean Bursaries

Funding for training visits: Bursaries for neurologists, epileptologists or applicants with an interest in epilepsy who reside in the ILAE-Eastern Mediterranean region and plan to participate in a training visit within the region in 2024.

Workshop Funding

Funding for scientific meetings or workshops relevant to neurobiology of epilepsy can also be provided through the Neurobiology Commission. Requests for sponsoring such workshops are considered for funding on an annual basis by the Neurobiology Commission. To apply, please submit the Neurobiology Commission Funding Request Form to nbcbursaries@ilae.org by 31 July of the year preceding the planned meeting. Decisions on support will be announced by the end of March of the year of the event.

ILAE Research Skills Bursaries 2023

The Neurobiology Commission offers research skills bursaries for young trainees and investigators to undertake short laboratory visits to acquire training in a new neurobiology method or technology to advance their research career. The bursaries will cover expenses (e.g. travel, accommodation) to a maximum of $2,000 per applicant.

ILAE Travel Bursaries 2023

The Neurobiology Commission provides travel bursaries for young trainees and investigators with limited financial resources to attend scientific meetings, workshops or other training opportunities that promise to advance their research career. The bursaries will cover travel expenses to a maximum of $2,000 per applicant.

ILAE Visiting Scholarship 2023

The Career Development Commission and its Fellowships Task Force is calling for applications for the ILAE - Europe visiting scholarship scheme. This funding opportunity supports early-career academic and clinical professionals planning to acquire a new skill and to expand their professional network by undertaking a professional visit to a suitable host institution in 2023.

Harinarayan Young Neuroscientist Award

The Harinarayan Young Neuroscientist Award is designed to reward young basic science investigators (within 10 years of completing PhD or MD training) that submit an abstract to the ILAE Congress

Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology

The Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology is an international research prize of US$25,000. Since 2002 it has been awarded annually to one young scientist who is not older than 35 years for the most outstanding neurobiological research based on methods of molecular and cell biology.
