Aristea Galanopoulou is a Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, USA, a clinical epileptologist and neuroscientist with special interest in early life epilepsies, post-traumatic epilepsies, epileptogenesis, GABA signaling, and epilepsy therapy development. She has been involved in several committees and Task Forces of the American Epilepsy Society (AES) and ILAE, is chairing the Neurobiology Commission of the ILAE, has co-chaired the ILAE/AES Joint Translational Task Force, and has received the ILAE Ambassador Award. She is member of the editorial board of seven journals, a reviewer in more than 50 journals, and has published extensively in the field of epilepsy.

Dong Zhou is Professor and Director of the Department of Neurology and Epilepsy Center, West China Hospital in Sichuan, China. He is also Co-Chair of the ILAE Commission on Medical Therapies, and a member of the Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures Task Force of the Neuropsychiatry Commission. In addition he is Chairman of the Group of Epilepsy and EEG of the Neurology branch assiciation of the CMA (Chinese Society of Medical Association and Vice Chairman of the China Association Against Epilepsy and Vice-Director of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. He serves as an editorial board member for several journals, including Seizure and Epilepsy Research, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese version of the Journal of Epilepsy.
