Epilepsia Open^® Call for Applications 2023

Epilepsia Open^® Editorial Internship

Epilepsia Open^® will provide one-year internships to the editorial board, starting August 2023.

Eligible individuals include young investigators and physicians, within 10 years of completing a graduate degree (MD, PHD or equivalent) and who have been involved in epilepsy research and/or care.

The internship will provide opportunity for mentorship by the senior editors of the journal, reviewing submitted papers and participating in the decisions, contributing with commentaries on accepted manuscripts or topics of interest, and opportunity for involvement in the editorial activities and initiatives of the journal.

Applicants are requested to provide (a) their curriculum vitae including their contact information, (b) a statement of interest outlining prior expertise and how this experience will enhance their career, (c) two letters of recommendation.  

Deadline for applications is 30 June 2023. Selection may include online interviews of applicants with members of the editorial board.

Epilepsia Open^® Living Experience - Editorial Position

Epilepsia Open^® will provide a one-year position to the editorial board for a member of the epilepsy community to serve as a Living Experience Editor, starting August 2023.

Eligible individuals include members of the epilepsy community with demonstrated prior interest in epilepsy research and/or care who can provide an eloquent and thoughtful commentary of published research, clinical or basic, and its relevance for individuals with epilepsy and caretakers.

The editorial position will provide opportunity to be involved in the editorial activities of the journal, including reviews of submitted manuscripts and writing commentaries, deciding on submitted manuscripts, and meetings of the editorial board members.

Applicants are requested to provide (a) their curriculum vitae including their contact information, (b) a statement of interest outlining prior expertise as it relates to this position, (c) two letters of recommendation, (d) examples of prior commentaries or activities as lay reviewers.
