Epilepsia Open^® Call for Interns

Epilepsia Open^® is pleased to announce a one-year editorial internship program beginning in January 2026. The internship is designed to provide early-career professionals with hands-on experience in academic publishing and mentorship from the senior editors of the journal.

Eligibility

Applicants should be early-career investigators or physicians who are within 10 years of completing a graduate degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent), taking into account any career disruptions. Candidates must be actively involved in epilepsy research and/or clinical care.

Internship Experience

Selected interns will:

• Receive mentorship from Epilepsia Open®’s senior editors
• Review submitted manuscripts and participate in editorial decision-making
• Contribute commentaries on accepted papers or timely topics in the field
• Engage in various editorial initiatives and activities of the journal

Application Requirements

Interested individuals should submit the following:

1. Curriculum vitae, including contact information
2. A statement of interest describing relevant experience and how the internship will support career goals
3. Two letters of recommendation
