In Memoriam: Dale Hesdorffer

Dale Hesdorffer, PhD, Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, passed away at age 66 after a prolonged illness.

Dr. Hesdorffer was a world-renowned expert in the epidemiology of epilepsy, with a particular focus on mortality and comorbidity with psychiatric disorders. She published more than 175 scholarly articles and served on numerous editorial and advisory boards, including the International League Against Epilepsy and the American Epilepsy Society.

Dale was an extremely kind and intelligent colleague and will be sorely missed.
