In Memoriam: Ettore Beghi

The Italian League Against Epilepsy (LICE) and International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), on behalf of countless colleagues and friends, wish to honour the memory of Ettore Beghi.

Ettore Beghi passed away on 10 October 2022 at the age of 75 in Milan, Italy, fighting his last battle against a very serious illness with dignity, showing his usual courage in facing life's challenges.

Although it is tragic to think of Ettore leaving us so early, he left behind a lifetime of extraordinary memories. Within ILAE, Ettore Beghi played several important roles. He was a member of various commissions and task forces, including co-chair of the Commission on the Epidemiology. From 2008 to 2011, he was president of LICE. In 2009, he was appointed ILAE Ambassador for Epilepsy.
