The initiative to form an International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) took
place on Monday August 30, 1909, in Hotel Bristol, rue Maria Valeria No. 460 (Donau
room).
The initiators: J. Van Deventer (Amsterdam, Holland); A. Marie (Villejuif,
France); G. Donath (Buda-Pesth, Austrian-Hungarian monarchy); L.J.J. Muskens
(Amsterdam, Holland).
Donath on behalf of Muskens calls for the formation of an International
League Against Epilepsy and invites Dr A. Marie to take the chair. The decision
is taken and nomination follows of
Provisional members of the Board 1909:
(German version) Donath, Graves, Greidenberg, Hebold, Marie, Moravcsick,
Moreira, Muskens, Obersteiner, Tamburini;
(French version) Hebold, Marie, Muskens, Obersteiner, Sachs, Sommer, Van
Deventer.
Tamburini is apparently chosen chairman/president (?).
