Anchor Hung

Anchor Tak Fung Hung is a social worker in Hong Kong SAR, China. She has been working with persons with epilepsy, medical and social care professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders for more than 20 years, particularly on psychological support, self-management, empowerment, self-help group, stigma issue, employment, advocacy, public awareness, school education, policy changes and evidence-based research on epilepsy. Anchor served as the International Executive Member and Vice President of South East Asia of the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) from 2006-2009. She is the Vice-chair of the Regional Executive Committee, Western Pacific Region, IBE for the period 2021 -2025. She actively participated in organizing the 'Epilepsy and Society Symposium' of the Asian & Oceanian Epilepsy Congresses (AOEC) for many years and served as co-chair of the Organising Committee for 14th AOEC held in November 2022. She is dedicated to the promotion and implementation of WHO Intersectoral Global Action on Epilepsy and other Neurological Disorders (IGAP). Locally, she is proactive in co-organising International Epilepsy Day in Hong Kong with other stakeholders of the medical and social care sector. To support epilepsy causes in Hong Kong, she served as an honorary advisor Hong Kong Epilepsy Association and Epilepsy Foundation of Hong Kong, and the Director of Health and Social Exchange of Hong Kong.
