Ambassador for Epilepsy Award 1999

Ann Jacoby, UK: is a social scientist, who has worked in the field of epilepsy since 1985. Dr. Jacobi’s main area of research has been in the assessment of quality of life of people with epilepsy and the development and application of patient based measures of outcome treatments for epilepsy. She is a Vice Chairman of the British Epilepsy Association and Chairperson of IBE’s Commission on Epilepsy, Risk and Insurability. She was also involved in the organisation of two seminars on behalf of IBE, which took place just before the International Epilepsy Congress in Dublin, one for people with epilepsy and the other for young professionals.
