ASEPA Workshop on Video-EEG Monitoring and Presurgical Evaluation

This ASEPA advanced epilepsy course on video-EEG monitoring and presurgical evaluation will be held in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand during 13-15 July 2023. This two and a half day workshop is organized by ILAE-Asia and Oceania with the aim to distribute updated knowledge and practice in the field of epilepsy throughout the region and this course is an intensive, hand-on workshop focusing on careful analysis of video-EEG monitoring and presurgical evaluation as well as practical management of drug resistance epilepsy provided by international well-known epileptologist as well as Thai epileptologist with special expertise in this field.

The target audiences are neurologist/ pediatric neurologist/ epileptologist/ /neurosurgeon and trainees both Thai or from nearby country who either plan to set up their video- EEG monitoring unit/ comprehensive epilepsy center or already have one but would like to update their knowledge and practice in this area.

In this workshop, small groups of participants will work together with the expert tutors. Together, they discuss different, unique patient with drug resistance epilepsy, analyzing video-EEG and other presurgical evaluation data and consecutively surgical decisions. Each group’s conclusion is then thoroughly discussed during plenary session. This approach allows participants to experience and learn other perspective and treatment option through collaborate discussion. The seats are limited to approximately 60 participants.
