New Editor in Chief for the ILAE Wikipedia Project

The ILAE welcomes Dr. Diptanshu Das from India as new Editor in chief for the ILAE Wikipedia Project, effective July 1st 2020. Dr. Das is a pediatric neurologist with considerable experience with editing thousands of Wikipedia articles, and is a Board Member of Wikimedia Medicine.

Dr. Das will take over from Dr. Nicola Maggio, to whom the ILAE wants to express its profound gratitude for his work over the last two years in effectively leading the Wikipedia Project. Dr. Maggio’s has decided to step down from the Wikipedia Editorship position due to increased professional and academic responsibilities. We wish Dr Maggio continued success in his endeavours.

The ILAE is also happy to announce the appointment of Dr. Nandan Yardi, also from India, as Deputy Editor for the Wikipedia Project. Dr. Yardi is a senior epileptologist who has been involved in many capacities in ILAE task forces and commissions over a long and distinguished career. He has shown particular interest in educational activities and this will serve well the aims of the Wikipedia Project.

The Wikipedia Project is an integral part of ILAE publications, and we wish Drs Das and Yardi every success in their new role.
