Ambassador for Epilepsy Award 1999

Hermann Stefan (Germany) has been a member of a number of ILAE Commissions over the years and he has been involved in the further classification of absences. At present he is an active member of the Commission on Neuro-imaging and through his activities has promoted the work of ILAE to a wide audience, as would be expected from an ambassador.
