Kimford Meador
Kimford J. Meador, MD, FAAN, FAES, FRCPE is Professor of Neurology & Neurosciences at Stanford University. He is behavioral neurologist and epileptologist whose research includes cognitive and behavioral effects of epilepsy and its therapies, pregnancy & epilepsy, neurodevelopment effects of medications, pharmacology & physiology of cognition, cerebral lateralization, and consciousness mechanisms. Dr. Meador has authored 491 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Meador directed a long running NIH multicenter study of pregnancy outcomes in women with epilepsy and their children. Among his honors are American Academy of Neurology past section chairs for Behavioral Neurology and for Epilepsy; American Epilepsy Society Clinical Research Award; named award for him for research in women with epilepsy; ranked in the top 0.017% of published authors worldwide on epilepsy 2013 - 2023 by Expertscape; and ranked in the top neuroscientist (#563 in the world and #318 in US) by Research.com in 2023.
