Ambassador for Epilepsy Award 1999

Leonid L. Prilipko (Switzerland) has been working tirelessly to raise awareness of the condition epilepsy in the various WHO regions, especially in the PAHO region, in Africa and within WHO itself. He has succeeded in giving epilepsy a higher profile within WHO and is actively involved in trying to achieve the Global Campaign Goals, bringing " Epilepsy out of the Shadows" both within WHO and world wide.
