Ambassador for Epilepsy Award 1999

M.D. Hills, New Zealand: Despite having epilepsy himself, Dr. Hills became a senior lecturer in psychology at Waikato University, Hamilton, Nw. Zealand. He was the founding chairman of the Epilepsy Foundation of New Zealand.

Internationally he has been a member of the Executive Committee of IBE as its Secretary General for the past 6 years. One of his goals has been the improvement in community care services for people with epilepsy and their families. His work with IBE’s Commission on Community Care has demonstrated this desire.
