Ambassador for Epilepsy Award 1999

Pierre Jallon (France) has devoted his neurological and neuro-physiological career to epilepsy and in particular to the interest of people with epilepsy in developing countries, where he advanced epidemiological and clinical studies. He has served as the chairman of two ILAE commissions, Epidemiology and Developing countries and has played a crucial role in the development of the ILAE/IBE/WHO Global Campaign against epilepsy. Based in Geneva, he has supported WHO in some of its work in epilepsy and neurology.
