Ambassador for Epilepsy Award 1999

Torbjörn Tomson (Sweden) has devoted much of his time to clinical epilepsy and clinical pharmacology in epilepsy. He is a well-known researcher with a wide international network. He has organised many workshops, symposia and courses on an international level. He has served as the Treasurer of the ILAE Commission on Education and is presently chairman of the Commission on the Burden of Epilepsy. He is also the Vice President of the Swedish chapter of ILAE and a member of the editorial board of Epilepsia.
