Bindu Menon
Prof Dr. Bindu Menon is a neurologist at Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Andhra Pradesh. India. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has published more than 100 articles and authored 14 book chapters. As the founder of the Dr. Bindu Menon Foundation, she has led over 250 free medical camps and awareness activities, directly transforming the lives of several individuals. Her flagship initiative, Neurology on Wheels, provides free consultations, treatments, and education to underserved rural communities under the inspiring motto "We reach, we teach, we treat.”
Dr Menon has pioneered innovative tools like mobile apps and tele-awareness for epilepsy, ensuring accessible and continuous care. A passionate advocate, she leads community outreach programs tackling epilepsy stigma and reducing the treatment gap.
An accomplished academician and researcher, she has published extensively, trained neurology students, and organised conferences. She holds fellowships from eight international and national organisations.
Dr. Menon is an award-winning leader whose accolades include the AAN Palatucci Advocacy Award, the A.B. Baker Teacher Award, and the Mridha Spirit of Neurology Award and ILAE Leadership Program Award among others. As Secretary-General of the Indian Epilepsy Association, Chair, Indian Academy of Neurology's Outreach Subsection and OneNeurology ambassador, she continues to champion awareness and bridge the treatment gap in neurological care across India.
