Asian and Oceanian Outstanding Achievement Epilepsy Award (AOEA) 2014

Dr. Ming-Shung Su trained at Columbia University, New York and was then appointed Director of the Section of Epilepsy of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, where he set up the earliest EEG laboratory creating a standard still being followed today He established clinics specifically for people with epilepsy and set up Taiwan’s first comprehensive Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, taking Taiwan to the modern era of epilepsy surgery. He has had a major role in the education of people with epilepsy, school teachers and nurses and is considered the founder of modern Taiwanese epilepsy.
