Xiao-Yan Liu

Prof. Xiao-Yan Liu is Pediatric neurologist, senior researcher in the EEG and Neuroelectrophysiology Lab of the First Affiliated Hospital, Peking University, Director of the Epilepsy Center of Yuquan Hospital, Tsinghua University.

She serves as the Vice President of China Association against Epilepsy (CAAE), Chief of the EEG and Neuroelectrophysiology branch of CAAE, Deputy Chief of SEEG and Brain Localization Specialized Committee of CAAE, Deputy Chief of Tan Qifu Epilepsy Surgery Development Special Fund Management Committee of CAAE, Head of EEG Professional Proposition Group of National Medical Examination Center, Reviewer for the Center of Medical Device Evaluation, and the Food and Drug Administration of China.

As a leading expert in Pediatric epilepsy and EEG in China, Prof. Liu has made substantial and outstanding achievements in the past 30 years. Prof. Liu has dedicated herself a lot in the promotion of EEG tech standardization in mainland China.
She is one of the founders for the biannual CAAE EEG and Neuroelectrophysiology conference, which is the largest scale, with the most participants and international faculties, covering the most disciplines in EEG related fields in mainland China and Asian and oceanian countries.

In recent years, Prof. Liu also is very active in the international collaborations with epilepsy centers in other countries.
