James Barnett
James Barnett was awarded the Epileptic Disorders Educational Prize for his paper, Characterizing Sunflower syndrome: a clinical series. Barnett JR, Fleming BM, Geenen KR, Sourbron J, Freedman JH, Bruno PL, Thiele EA. Epileptic Disord 2020; 22(3): 273-80.
Dr Barnett was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and completed his undergraduate degree at Boston University. He then worked as a research assistant in the Pediatric Epilepsy Program at Massachusetts General Hospital directed by Dr. Elizabeth Thiele. During his time there, he helped establish the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Sunflower syndrome clinic. He is currently a medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.
