Harinarayan Young Neuroscientist Award 2023

Yang Zheng is an adult neurology resident in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. She received her MD and PhD from Zhejiang University School of Medicine, studying the epileptic networks of cortical dysplasia with Dr. Meiping Ding MD and Dr. Zhong Chen PhD.

Her research interests include identifying electrophysiological biomarkers of drug-resistant epilepsy, disentangling its neurocircuit basis, and investigating its interaction with neuroinflammation, which she hopes would ultimately translate into novel therapeutic targets for epilepsy patients.
