
1st Libyan Scientific Society for Epilepsy Symposium

The First Libyan Epilepsy Symposium was a success, with participants coming from all over Libya.The previous day, there was a television show about epilepsy to spread awareness of the event. This show featured interviews with Dr. Majdi Kara, Secretary General of the Libyan Scientific Society for Epilepsy, and Dr. Nadia Yahya, medical affairs secretary of the Tripoli Epileptic Center.

8.30 - 9.00: Registration
9.00 – 9.30: Opening speeches.
9.30 – 10.00: Epilepsy and pregnancy. ( Dr Nadia yahya ) Chair Dr Sara.
10.00 – 10.30: Teratogenicity of antiepileptic drugs (Dr Sarra Albadri) Chair Dr Nadia.

15.00 – 15.30: Normal EEG ( Dr Mohamed Eltwayeb). Chair Dr Maryem Ismaile.
15.30 – 16.00: First time convulsion ( Dr Mafaker) Chair Dr Adel.
16.00 – 16.30: MRI changes in seizures (Dr Abdulsalam Abugrara).Chair Dr Najat.
16.30 -17.30: open discussion about epilepsy services and the society. Chair Dr Majdi.
