Himalayan Epilepsy Conference 2026
Radission Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal
18 - 19 September 2026
The Himalayan Epilepsy Conference (HECON) 2026 is the biennial international scientific meeting of the Nepal Epilepsy Society (NES), organized in collaboration with the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE). To be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, HECON 2026 will bring together clinicians, researchers, neuroscientists, and allied health professionals from around the world to advance epilepsy care and research.
Guided by the theme “Neurons to Network in the Management of Epilepsy,” HECON 2026 aims to bridge fundamental neuroscience with clinical practice, health systems, and public health approaches. The conference will provide a dynamic platform for presenting original research, sharing innovations, and fostering regional and global collaboration in epilepsy.
The scientific program will feature oral presentations and ePosters, selected through peer-reviewed abstract submissions across a wide range of topics, including basic and translational research, clinical epilepsy, neuroimaging, genetics, epilepsy surgery, therapies, comorbidities, epidemiology, and public health. ePosters will be accessible both onsite and online through the society’s website, extending the reach of shared knowledge beyond the conference.
HECON 2026 is committed to supporting emerging investigators, promoting ethical and high-quality research, and recognizing excellence through competitive scientific awards. The conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with experts, contribute to meaningful discussions, and shape the future of epilepsy care, particularly in low- and middle-income settings.
We warmly welcome you to join us at HECON 2026 in Kathmandu.
