On behalf of the Finnish Epilepsy Society and the Pediatric Neurology Association, we cordially welcome you to participate in the Kuopio Epilepsy Symposium, organised jointly by the Finnish Epilepsy Society, the Finnish Association of Pediatric Neurology, the Finnish Epilepsy Association, the Department of Neurology (University of Eastern Finland) and Neurocenter (Kuopio University Hospital), an EpiCARE ERN member.

We hope to bring together people working in the different fields of epileptology and to update our understanding especially of rare and complex epilepsies. In addition, the symposium serves as the kick-off of the YES-ILAE-Finland activity for young doctors and researchers. We will be holding an abstract competition.
