Visiting Teacher Program

The development of epilepsy surgery in Morocco is a strategic priority for improving care for patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. However, a major barrier remains the limited number of practitioners trained in presurgical evaluation, particularly in mastering the video-EEG methodology, multimodal imaging interpretation, neuropsychological assessment, and multidisciplinary case synthesis.

This is why we consider this visit to be a critical and timely opportunity. The goal is to implement an accelerated, practical training program aimed at empowering neurologists, epileptologists, and EEG technologists with the skills required to:

• Accurately conduct presurgical evaluations
• Appropriately select surgical candidates
• Choose the most suitable surgical approach

We believe that building this local capacity is essential to ensure the long-term success and accessibility of epilepsy surgery programs in our country.
