Workshop on Combined EEG-fMRI in epilepsy

Simultaneous EEG-fMRI has been available for more than three decades, yet its potential remains largely underused in epilepsy research and clinical practice. This workshop aims to re-ignite interest in this unique non-invasive multimodal method by bringing together leading experts and researchers to discuss its current value, persistent challenges, and emerging opportunities. The symposium will address the full translational pipeline—from methodological foundations to advanced clinical applications—offering participants a clear overview of what EEG-fMRI can deliver today and where the field is heading.

The workshop will take place at the Golden Age Hotel in Athens, Greece, following the 16th European Epilepsy Congress. Conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (EEC 2026 Venue), the hotel makes it easy for attendees to participate right after the EEC 2026.
