Global Survey on Epilepsy Mortality Surveillance Mechanisms
10 June, 2026
The aim of this survey is to understand how deaths among people with epilepsy, including those directly related to the condition, such as sudden unexpected death (SUDEP), status epilepticus, accidents, and drownings, are investigated, recorded, and monitored across countries and regions.
Your responses will help identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities to improve global epilepsy mortality surveillance. Please answer based on the situation in your country (or the primary jurisdiction your ILAE chapter represents). If possible, please consult with local experts if you are uncertain of the answers to the questions.
Complete the survey by 31 July.
