Summary of Activities:

The Ivorian League Against Epilepsy had few activities during this two years, consisting in education of specific groups of caregivers and sensitization of general population.

Summary of Activities in Relation to Global Campaign in 2017 and 2018

• April 2017 : Radio broadcast on local radios. Program : Health for all. Theme: understanding epilepsy.
• April 2018 : Awareness program on a national television channel
  Educational Activities
• February 2018 : International Epilepsy Day. Theme : treatment of epilepsies
• October 2018 : Pediatricians training day about diagnosis and management of epilepsies (2nd edition) in Abidjan

Challenges:

• Train physicians in epilepsy management
• Overcome stigma around epilepsy

Future Plans:

• Revitalize the local association of professionals and the parents of people with epilepsy
• Continue the training of paediatricians, general practitioners and nurses in Abidjan and in provincial towns.
