Summary of Activities:

2017
1. Reform of League statutes to adapt to Law 1414 of 2010 and to the National Epilepsy Award Foundation Margaret Merz de Fandiño
2. Organization regional chapters. 12 chapters were made in Colombia, with personal trips to each one of them
3. Patient donations, to support the League.
4. Each chapter should have, among its managing members, other professionals than doctors and will have as postulates:
a. Human rights of people with epilepsy within the framework Law 1414/10
b. Promote the rehabilitation of people with epilepsy and mental development problems, trying to lead this process in the public schools, "Remedial Classrooms" for this 25-30% people with epilepsy and cognitive disorders (unknown in our society) and thus avoid stigma and discrimination.
c. Promote research in epilepsy, with the help of the National Epilepsy Prize Foundation Margaret Merz de Fandiño.
5. The regulations and structural organization of LCE were made

In this congress, we`ll meet in different commissions like Human Rights, Rehabilitation, Education and Scientific to work in aspects related with each commission. Commission, consisting of neurologists, neurophysiologists, neuropediatricians.
The LCE became the rector of national issues related with epilepsy, such as training neurologists and epileptologists or neurosurgeons with are part of epilepsy groups.
Also, we want to work in operative definition of Epilepsy Center, epilepsy groups, guidelines of epilepsy programs.
1. A new board of directors was elected in the Assembly and two non-medical members were elected. Possession of them took place, delivering all the documents (statutes, regulation)
2. The commission works with the government institution to lookout the care programs dedicated at epilepsy patients.
3. The LCE will work strengthen relations with the government statements to work in special programs dedicated to epilepsy patients.

Challenges:
