Summary of Activities:

Epilepsy care provided by mental health nurses at district hospital, government medical officers at district, provincial hospital, physicians at central hospitals and neurologists at tertiary hospital level

Activities

• Conducted a program on capacity development of nurses in the rural settings
• Updated the Epilepsy Management Manual.
• Implemented the Utetezi Advocacy Project- Making Epilepsy a National Health Priority and Development of a National Action Plan which has been a success.

Challenges:

Main challenge has been the slowing of implementation due to the COVID 19 restrictions
