  • Part of the team which started the first DM Pediatric Neurology Program in South Asia in 2004 and is heading it since April 2008.
  • She has over 24 years post MD teaching / work experience and has developed Pediatric Neurology in India as a specialty and has received many International and National awards for her efforts in this field. [ including Sheila Wallace Award (First Indian recipient) by International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) 2014; Fellowship Award by Faculty of Medicine, McGill University & ICNA 2010;  Lifetime Achievement Award by National Neurology Chapter of IAP 2014;Four AIIMS Excellence Research Awards 2019,2018,2017,2014; 6th DR I C Verma Excellence in Research Award 2018;Amrut  Mody Unichem Prize-2015 by ICMR; S.   • Envisioned, conceptualized and faculty in-charge of Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research for Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders including epilepsy which is providing high quality affordable care for all sections of the society, performing high end diagnostic and therapeutic research and acting as an education/ training hub.
