Task Forces and Committees

Intake/Review and Methodological Committee
Chair: Francesco Brigo

The main goal of this Committee is to review proposals of clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and advise on CPG development methodology. This committee will review the ongoing CPGs at each development stage to ensure that they meet the ILAE guideline development process methodological rigor. They will approve the final CPG document before it is posted for public comments and prior to publication. In the course of this term, we expect this Committee to identify clear aims and the steps that ILAE can take to realize the goal with the assistance of a methodologist.

Delphi/Consensus Methodology Task Force
Chairs: Nathalie Jette and Colin Josephson

Some of the main goals of this Task Force are to explore different approaches including the Delphi technique to establishing consensus for the development of best practice documents and standards where robust evidence from the current literature is lacking. In the course of this term, we expect this Task Force to identify clear goals and the steps that the League can take to realize those goals.

Prioritization Task Force
Chair: Katia Lin

The main goal of this Task Force is to develop processes to identify clinical areas for which there are current gaps in clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) or recommendations, and provide advice to the relevant topical Commissions to guide their work plan development. This Task Force will also help develop a system/process to prioritize proposed CPGs. In the course of this term, we expect this Task Force to identify clear aims and the steps that ILAE can take to realize these goals.

Adapt and Implementation Task Force
Chairs: Martin Kirkpatrick, Zarine Mogal, Chahnez Triki, Jo Wilmshurst

One of the main goals of this Task Force is to develop a handbook and/or processes to support topical Commissions in adapting and implementing current clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) for use in different contexts, including low resource settings. This Task Force will also develop educational tools in association with the CPGs and standards that are developed and update the systematic review of CPGs, as well as propose and develop educational sessions and webinars about implementation of CPGs or about newly developed CPGs. In the course of this term, we expect this Task Force to identify clear aims and the steps that ILAE can take to realize these goals.

Liaison and Collaboration Task Force
Chairs: Eugen Trinka and Sarah Wilson

The main goal of this Task Force is to develop protocol for effective collaboration with other relevant professional and/or research organizations including endorsement and development of memorandums of understanding (MoU) on engagement, process, publications and endorsement. In the course of this term, we expect this Task Force to identify clear aims and the steps that ILAE can take to realize this goal.
