Working with other organisations

One of the aims of the ILAE Climate Change Commission, through its Task Force 2, is to engage with and learn from other organizations on climate change initiatives. These links are focussing on evaluating developments in the area via ongoing communications with these organisations. In this new document, Climate Change Commission: Working with other organisations, we provide links to various organisations promoting awareness about neurological health and climate change. We also document webinars on the effects of climate change on various neurological conditions and how to develop sustainable research practices so that new developments in neurological health care do not exacerbate climate change.

This list is a living document. ILAE members are invited to contact the ILAE Climate Change Commission if they become aware of other organisations, webinars, online resources and sustainable initiatives, which address the global issue of climate change and sustainability.

Sustainability Training

The ILAE Climate Change Commission has undertaken an educational initiative to promote sustainable clinical and basic research practices in epilepsy among ILAE membership, and beyond. One of the main objectives is to foster a positive and proactive approach to sustainable research, highlighting the high impact that researchers and clinicians can have in their individual roles.

Together with FutureNeuro, the Commission has sponsored the four-part Sustainability Training video series led by Green Lab Associates.

The videos are available on the ILAE YouTube channel. Read a brief explanation of the sequential content of each video.
