Taxis

Please note that taxi apps in Zambia will accept cash only. Local currency, Kwacha (ZMW) is the only currency that will be accepted.

Mobile Money is available, however you must have a Zambian registered mobile phone.

How Mobile Money Works:
Mobile money in Zambia is a secure and widely used method of payment through mobile phones. Popular platforms include MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), Airtel Money, and Zamtel Kwacha. Funds are stored in a mobile wallet linked to a local phone number, and payments can be made directly to drivers from the app or via USSD code *115#

Unfortunately, this system requires a Zambian-registered mobile number and is not currently compatible with foreign SIM cards or bank accounts.
