The Roma Convention Center La Nuvola is an international congress structure capable of hosting events with very different characteristics thanks to its extreme flexibility and has a total capacity of over 8,000 seats.

Designed by Studio Fuksas in 2008, the building represents an extraordinary example of innovation in eco-friendly architecture and uses technologically advanced solutions.

The Roma Convention Center La Nuvola consists of three large areas: the Teca, the large structure built in steel with a double glass facade, the Cloud, the distinctive element of the building, which houses the auditorium, the rooms congress services, and other reception services and the Lama, an independent hotel.

29 sustainability practices and their benefits

Travel Sustainable

In the Travel Sustainable programme, there are 3 different ways used to verify the sustainability practices accommodation partners claimed.

1. Booking.com's contract with the accommodation partner
2. Sustainability practices they ask travellers about
3. Partnered with an independent auditing company called SGS to help develop a process to verify sustainability practices.

Accommodation partners can achieve three different levels under the Travel Sustainable programme.*

These are:
The Travel Sustainable level for an accommodation is determined using an impact score, which is calculated based on the sustainability practices they’ve told us they’re taking. We define impact scores per each sustainability practice, which in turn create the continent-level impact thresholds. These thresholds determine a certain score an accommodation needs to get in order to reach one of our levels.

There are lots of different bodies offering sustainability certifications around the world, but we only recognise Travalyst's approved list. Certification bodies provide the accommodation details to BeCause, who in turn verify them and provide the info to us.
