AOEC Congress Awards

Bursaries

The congress will provide assistance towards attendance at the 13th AOEC for a limited number of young researchers, physicians and other epilepsy care professionals from Asia and Oceania. Candidates should submit an abstract online by 5 March 2021 and follow the instructions for bursary applications.

Takodoro Best Presentation Prize

To encourage research in epileptology in the region, there will be best presentation prizes for both platform and poster presentations supported by ILAE Asia and Oceania. The first and second prizes for both the platform and poster presentations are US$300 and US$200 respectively; recipients were announced on the last day of the congress. ILAE-YES Best Presenter Award

All abstract presenters aged 40 or younger are eligible to be considered for the ILAE-YES Best Presenter Award with a prize of complimentary registration to the 14th AOEC. Eight high-quality abstracts are chosen from the applicants to give an oral presentation at the ILAE-YES Data Blitz Session in front of a jury and public audience who will judge the best presentation. The Asian Oceanian Outstanding Achievement Epilepsy Award

The Asian Oceanian Outstanding Achievement Epilepsy Award recognises and pays tribute to medical and non-medical professionals for their extraordinary contributions to epilepsy care in this region. The Golden Light Awards

The IBE Golden Light Awards recognise the contributions of people affected by epilepsy in their community and those who care for them. The awardees were acknowledged in the Welcome Ceremony on 10 June 2021.
