The ILAE Nursing Section published the new Epilepsy Curriculum for Nurses in July 2026. This can be used by nurses for their own learning, by organizations to develop educational programming for nurses, and by countries and regions to tailor their education to needs of nurses in their regions.

ESNA 30th Anniversary Lifetime Achievement Award (December 2022)

The ILAE Nursing Section would like to offer sincere congratulations to Yvonne Leavy on receiving lifetime achievement award for her outstanding contribution to epilepsy specialist nursing from the UK Epilepsy Nursing Association (ESNA). Well done, Yvonne!

The award represents her outstanding contribution to epilepsy specialist nursing during her career. Yvonne was delighted to be recognised in this way by her colleagues and said, 'This is greatly appreciated, and I hope we can use it as a catalyst to encourage joint work and collaboration across our ESNA family'.
